1010data is a company that was established in 2000. Until more recently they appear to have been focused primarily on their home turf of Wall Street including the NYSE. As one of their key customers, the NYSE reportedly uploads 750 million rows of data daily into their data warehouse, giving the platform a massive amount of credibility against a common criticism of cloud offerings being that the load times are perceived as being slow. The subprime mortgage fiasco also helped 1010data to prove the benefits of the managed platform, as they were able to quickly roll out improved default analysis to multiple clients.
